Since the launching of Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W (Wireless) in late October this year (2021), it has been a blast. Many creative and innovative projects have been created! But soldering the 40-pin headers onto Zero W is not everyone's favorite task, especially beginners. Some might not have the right tools to do it. So we (Cytron Technologies) have come out with a version with a color-coded 40-pin Header pre-soldered. We called Raspberry Pi Zero 2 WCH (Colored Header).
It is pre-soldered with Color-coded 2x20 header pins according to Raspberry Pi 40-pin Power and GPIO assignment. The soldering is done by our production team at Cytron Technologies. This will help in hardware prototyping and digital making, interfacing with HAT and electronic parts. And of course, accessing the power for maybe active cooling!
It has the same specifications and features as Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W. Yes, it is really attractive, but do bear in mind that you need additional accessories to get it running :) Thus, this basic kit.
A good power supply will save you a lot of time troubleshooting unstable issues, trust me. We have seen many restarting, microSD card corruption cases and all these are due to a low-quality USB charger or Power Supply. This kit included an Official RPi 12.5W (5V/2.5A) PSU micro B UK Plug-White with UK plug (type G) and is meant for the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W/WCH and suitable to be used in Singapore, Malaysia, UK, etc.
If you are a fan of the Raspberry Pi Zero series of Single Board Computer, you will know that it does not come with a proper USB socket (USB A) for USB devices. There are only USB micro B connectors, one is for power, another is for OTG (On The Go). But to start using the Raspberry Pi Zero, you will most likely need a USB keyboard (at minimum), so this is where the USB OTG adapter cable comes in handy. This is an official Raspberry Pi micro USB OTG adapter cable. This cable looks like a USB micro cable but it isn't! Instead of a USB A Plug, it has a USB A Socket on the end. This cable is designed for use with OTG (On The Go) host devices (like many tablets) so you can connect a mouse, keyboard, or any other USB device to the host via this cable.
