Description

Note: This page contains 6 options of micro:bit Electronic and Coding Kits, based on Arus' FS4A Robotics Series lessons. Please choose your preferred kit.

micro:bit is a tiny programmable computer, designed to make learning and teaching easy and fun! Reka:bit Robotics Sets are designed to enable you to build exciting robotics projects, featuring distance sensors, and rotational and positional movements. This set is suitable for primary and secondary school students who are curious to DIY projects with ultrasonic sensors, DC motors and servo motors.

You may get inspiration from the FREE learning resources on Future Skills for All (FS4A) website. In FS4A Robotics Series, there are 5 lessons.

Note: The lesson material is in Bahasa Melayu.

With the Advance Set, you can build at least four (4) projects, which are:

  • Floor Cleaning Robot
  • Solar Tracker Robot
  • Robot Arm
  • Paddy Field Bell Ringing Robot.

The Basic Set is suitable for lesson 1, 2 and 5 where you will build two robotics projects, which are:

  • Floor Cleaning Robot
  • Paddy Field Bell Ringing Robot.

The content is aligned with the Malaysian National Curriculum Year 6 Design and Technology (RBT) subject (subtopic 6.5 & 8.1).

Here's the example of the project from Lesson 2 (Floor cleaning robot):

Note: The materials for the chassis/body of the robots are NOT INCLUDED in the kit since the syllabus encourages and wants to stress DIY (Do It Yourself) using recyclable material, like the ice-cream stick, cardboard, etc.

The Add-on packs are for lesson 3 and lesson 4. The expansion set for Lesson 3 is the Solar Tracker and the expansion set for Lesson 4 is the Robotic Arm. If you have the Basic Kit already, and you want to learn more about Solar energy and robot arm control and movements, then these add-on kits are for you!
