5V 1.5A Adapter micro B c/w Switch (UK Plug)

We have been looking for a reliable yet user-friendly power adapter for the low-power digital making controller like Maker UNO and micro:bit. Finally, it is here, 5VDC output at 1.5A maximum. Besides USB micro B termination, it comes with a rocker switch in the middle of the cable, perfect for the AC socket behind your cupboard. This is the perfect power adapter for powering low power controller board like:

• Maker UNO
• Maker UNO Plus
• Maker UNO X
• micro:bit

Although the label on the adapter stated 5V at 3A, from our test it delivers 4.8 to 4.9V at 1.5A. This is due to the voltage drops across the resistance in the long cable and is normal. Anyway, 4.8V is good enough to power most of the 5V controller :)

This power adapter can be used with universal AC voltage, ranging from 110 or 240 VAC input so it works in any country, but the plug type is UK type.
